International Violin Competition of Indianapolis
2002 IVCI Program
Design: Ed Norman, Norman Graphics
The commemorative program of the 2002 International
Violin Competition of Indianapolis documents every public detail
associated with this world-class event. It combines form with function
to provide an appropriate showcase for sponsors along with a clear
explanation of everything that occurs during the 17-day competition.
Production notes: Perfect binding was chosen
to satisfy both aesthetics and the number of pages in the program.
The cover is 100# Corniche velvet cover printed 4/4 on a Heidelberg
5-color press with in-line satin aqueous coating. For the text,
a single signature was printed on 80# Corniche velvet text 4/4 on
the same Heidelberg press without coating. The balance of the text
was printed 1/1 on a Heidelberg 2-color perfecting press. A hinge
score on the front cover reduces stress on the binding.
