Expansion nears completion at 929 W. 16th Street
“We have been using the additional space since June to accommodate new equipment including a 40-inch 5-color Heidelberg and finishing and mailing equipment,” explains O’Brien. “These changes have added capacity and enhanced efficiency,” he adds. The area’s first digital NexPress is also up and running at Printing
Partners’ 16th Street location. The NexPress is an incredible marketing
engine that can drive a marketing campaign with variable printing and outstanding
color, according to O’Brien. |

Partners’ Night at the IRTPrinting Partners is continuing its popular Partners’ Night at the IRT in partnership with the Indiana Repertory Theatre. “The program is part of our commitment to build new audiences for the performing arts,” says Printing Partners owner Michael O'Brien. Partners Night is the second Thursday performance of each Signature Series performance. The program allows Printing Partners’ clients to purchase unlimited tickets for that performance for only $10. “Our goal is to make theatre accessible for those who might not otherwise attend,” O’Brien adds. Tickets are available only on-line and must be purchased with a credit card. You can access the Partners Night web page via the Partners’ Night link at www.printingpartners.net. The first Partners Night is September 21 at 7:30 p.m. It features James Still’s adaptation of the Booth Tarkington novel, The Gentleman from Indiana. Tickets can be purchased on-line for this performance or any Signature Series production and A Christmas Carol. The Indiana Repertory Theatre and Printing Partners have a long history of collaboration. This year they worked closely with Hetrick Communications to implement the IRT’s new brand. “Hetrick has created an exciting, contemporary brand for the IRT,” says IRT marketing director Richard Ferguson-Wagstaffe. “Printing Partners has reproduced it using both five spot colors on a 5-color press and a process build,” explains Ferguson-Wagstaffe. |

Indy Fringe Festival takes over Mass Ave August 25-September 3
Fringe executive director Pauline Moffat calls the Fringe “. . .a scene—fun, outrageous, over-the-top—one that also has a strong social ‘street culture’ component.” Forty-eight performing groups will appear at five venues within easy walking distance in the Mass Avenue Cultural District. The venues include American Cabaret Theatre, ComedySportz Arena, Murat Centre, Phoenix Theatre and Theatre on the Square. For a complete schedule, visit www.indyfringe.org. Printing Partners worked with the Fringe Festival to print posters and tickets. The poster art called “Opening Night” is the creation of Emma Overman. “It was fun to work with,” says O’Brien, “because the artwork is so colorful and so expressive.”

The Julian Center Market features arts, antiques and crafts
The Julian Center serves victims of violence and domestic abuse. This year a heavy demand on its services has created a significant drain on the Center’s resources. Saturday’s Market is an opportunity to have a great time while you support a good cause. Jennie DeVoe, the featured artist, appears from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the gate. The Julian Center is a Partners’ Grant recipient and Printing Partners provided in-kind support for the Market. A new brand for the event was created this year by Pearson McMahon Fletcher England. |
